About Terry and Virtual Resources International

If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it. The more things you do, the more you can do.

Ahh… one of my favorite quotes. Why? Because I’m that busy person. I’m Terry Ramirez, and I know how to get shit done. I’ve built a team around me who really gets customer care to the “nth degree” and helping our clients grow is what we do!

How did it all start?

I’ve been in planning and management mode since I was just a youngster.

And having a ball!

Yes, I was the one who loved arranging and rearranging the furniture in my room.  Always making sure everything was organized and clean. I loved preparing for trips with my little suitcase and making sure we had everything.

You could say I’m a tad Type-A, but executive assistance and small meeting/VIP day coordination and management is the sweet spot where I love to live. (Fun fact: I always loved watching executive assistants on TV shows in the 70s. They always looked so cool and dressed well!)

It’s no wonder that I ended up in a 25-year+ career in corporate marketing and advertising as a highly organized executive assistant. I was fluent in both the corporate and virtual office environments where I solved, managed and implemented the day-to-day operations for a lot of busy executives while maintaining schedules, travel, meeting events and day-to-day business for C+ suite executives.

I’ve had the good fortune to turn that deep experience into a business, bringing along with me a team of highly intuitive, high-touch, experienced experts to create a fully PERSONALIZED boutique experience for each and every one of our clients.

What you see/hear is what you get: a down-to-earth, dedicated, elite task executioner who marches to her own drum!

I like to think of myself as a maverick.

With every challenge I’ve been presented in my life, I’ve charted my own path to overcome obstacles and get to a place of inner happiness and contentment.

For instance, I charted my own path when my daughter Olivia was born. She came 11 years after my youngest son. I missed out on so much of my boys’ lives (I have two) because I was always working. I didn’t want to do the same with my daughter. So, I made damn sure I created a way to make money doing something I love while still having time for her.

I’m not sure how many people will admit this, but my family was not always my first priority. I loved working so much that often my family was on the back burner. It’s difficult to admit, but I’m honest.

Lesson learned!

Now that I’m older, with hard lessons learned along the way, I truly get it. My family is my #1 priority. There are days I fall into old patterns, but now family comes first. Initially, I dreamed of having a team of “mom/experts” who love what they do. Like me, they’d also spend lots of quality time with their families. And now I’m living that dream. And to be able to help our ideal client is icing on the cake!

I love working with smart, fun, compassionate, kind people who are using their own special talents and magic to help change the world.

I’m also great at keeping my word – clients can trust that when I say I’ll do something, I deliver (usually over-deliver) on that promise.

And I don’t put up with any bullshit.

Yes, you’ll find I’m not afraid to use expletives to add a bit of emphasis from time to time! I believe in telling it like it is. While I’m always professional with my clients, if I’m talking with you as a VRI client, I might get descriptive with my words.

A few other (some surprising) facts about me

  • I have had cancer and often promote early detection and advocating for yourself and your health
  • I love laughter till my stomach hurts, especially with my fun clients
